Electronic dance music ambassador and innovator numero uno, Richie Hawtin, offers you the chance to become musically immortalised. Remix the Plastikman track ‘Ask Yourself’ (from his fifth studio album and part of his Plastikman 2010 live show) and it might just be your mix that ends up as a digital release on the slice of music history The Plastikman Arkives…

Download the remix parts including bassline, strings, midi and vocals from Residentadvisor.net or Burn-studios.com to create your unique version of ‘Ask Yourself’ – then upload it back onto the site. The entries will then be listened to by the man himself to find the winning version.

The Plastikman Arkives consists of a made-to-order box set featuring tracks from the whole 17 years of the Plastikman story, made up of 11 CDs of remastered previously released albums and exclusive unreleased sessions, and a DVD containing never-before-seen video footage. Or in other words, pure Plastikman-ia.

The winner will also receive an Avid gift voucher worth €2,500 (the company behind the M-Audio and Pro Tools music technology product brands) and an annual Soundcloud Pro account worth €250.

The closing date for entry is December 31, and the winner will be announced on January 15 2011.
